DeLaSalle Welcomes New Executive Director
June 28, 2010 – Kansas City, MO –- DeLaSalle Education Center announced today the appointment of its new Executive Director. Mr. Mark Williamson was selected following an extensive and thorough executive search process conducted by MSA Executive Search/Integrated Healthcare Strategies.

DeLaSalle's Future as a Charter School
The Kansas City, MO School District and DeLaSalle Education Center have been partners for over 25 years. As you may have read in the Kansas City Star on March 27, however, there is a chance the District may not renew our contract. DeLaSalle knew we needed to prepare for this possbility and began last year investigating the option of becoming a charter school so that we could continue delivery of our mission and our model to the many students who come to our door asking for help.

Expanding the Door to Opportunity
DeLaSalle recently launched its first capital campaign in nearly two decades. The $6.247 million project will allow DeLaSalle to make needed renovations to our existing facilities at 3740 Forest Avenue, construct additional space to house key programs and services, and transform our outdoor areas to create a modernized campus for the students we serve.
